On the other hand, Herpesa dedicated its activity to the commercialization of furniture in Cantabria and to the production of office chairs. The use of MDF allows shaping the edges with different forms. Particle boards are finished with straight PVC edges. Nowadays office tables of both levels are made with two different materials: wooden tops and steel bases: Equipment: Since its beginning of activity in 2001, the company had been experienced a constant growth until year 2008, when it started the sales reduction up to now. In the years of company growth, it invested heavily in the latest technology of machinery. All the equipment was bought to BIESSE, Italy. Know How: The production plant is run by 19 employees, specialized in each section of the manufacturing process. Each worker should manage at least one machine, and is fully responsible for it. Recent performance: from maximum turnover to recession. The company had in year 2007, over 200 clients in Spain, around 50 clients in France, added to more clients in the UE, Like Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and Ireland. Outside the UE, Novoforma had clients in Russia, Morocco, Middle East and Guinea. The strong recession of year 2008 onwards, that led to an overall economic crisis, led Novoforma to concentrate on its remaining customers in Spain ,France and Italy.
